IT IS ALSO A BATTLE OF WITS

Question and answer portion is the most crucial round in every pageant and MISS PITOGO ISLANDS  pageant is not an exemption. Like most beauty pageants, question and answer in this pageant is the most nerve-wracking round.

Beauty queens should not just be prepared on how to walk on the ramp but they should also be prepared for their poise, grace and wit during the interview portion. In Miss Pitogo Islands pageant, the question and answer round could be a saving grace of a candidate for this round holds the biggest points of all rounds having 30% of the overall score of a candidate. The candidate that will have the cutting edge in this round will also receive the sash Miss Repartee and most likely be in the last three women standing.

This year, the MISS PITOGO ISLANDS ORGANIZATION headed by their chairman Mr. Edrian B. Abad had hinted the candidates about the possible questions that will arise in the final round. Here were some of them:

1. If there should be a best woman in Pres. Carlos P. Garcia who do you think she should be and why?
2. What do you think is one thing that our municipality is lacking and why?
3. Why you should be Miss Pitogo Islands 2015?
4. What are the things that made you smile today?
5. Which one would you prefer, someone who is respected or someone who is loved?
6. What can you say about same sex marriage?
7. If you could go back in time and change a moment in your past, what would it be and why?
8. Do you think values are taught? Why or why not?

The MISS PITOGO ISLANDS ORGANIZATION designed the questions thinking that these have relevance to some issues and problems that the whole Pres. Carlos P. Garcia is facing. The questions also included some points that the candidates need to answer what they already have gotten within themselves without sounding like an arrogant person.

Miss Pitogo Islands 2015 Roxan Abad, like her co-candidates, had chosen her final question from the magic bowl of rolled papers containing the questions. She had picked the question number 8. The she answered without stuttering," Values are not taught. It is already in us like our instincts. We only differ on what kind of  values we got, good or bad. Thank you".

Some people had disagreed with the way she answered her final question but Roxan Abad is firm in standing for what she believing in. She said that it is her way of answering the question and that she respects the opinions of other people.

Now that you have read this blog. You now have the idea about the possible questions that will show up by the next Miss Pitogo Islands. It is up to you if you will share this to your friends or to your favourite candidates. Have a nice day.
