Personal Hygiene Awareness Activity

Last  August 10,  2015 at  3:00 p.m., Miss  Pitogo  Islands  2016  Michaella  Cutanda  visited  her  alma mater,  Saguise  Elementary  School  located  at  Barangay  Saguise,  Pres.  Carlos  P.  Garcia,  Bohol.  She  was  there  for  one  reason,  she  has  just  started  her  journey  as  the  reigning  Miss  Pitogo  Islands  and  her  first  activity  was  to  do  a  “Personal  Hygiene  Awareness  Activity.”  

            She  surprised  the  grade  five  class  with  her  entrance  of  her  then  grade  five  room.  Mrs.  Lucile  Aclao,  the  class  adviser,  welcomed  the  organization  warmly  and  was  interested  enough  why  her  former  student  was  there.

            After  greeting  everybody  and  introducing  herself,  Michaela  explained  to  the  pupils  the  importance  of  personal  hygiene.  She  stated  that  this  grade  year  is  the  year  where  most  of  the  pupils  are  having  a  transition  from  adolescence  to  puberty  and  that  could  also  mean  changing  body  hormones  which  can  result  to  gaining  body  odor.  She  further  reiterated  about the  importance  of  the  cleanliness of  the  body  through  taking  a  bathe  every  day  and  by  putting  deodorant  or  antiperspirant  to  avoid  sweating  and  then  body  odor.

            After  her  short  speech  about  personal  hygiene,  she  distributed  some  tawas  powder  for  the  students.  She  instructed  how  to  use  it  and  when  to  stop  when  something  goes  wrong.

            After  the  activity,  Mrs.  Aclao  and  the  grade  five  pupils  were  very  thankful  for  the  visit  of  the  newly  crowned  Miss  Pitogo  Islands.
